		<description>nice post!  I am totally aware of the non-complaint approaches of many of my &quot;hero&quot; sites....facebook, google, amazon *sob*  but even so I am confident we are backing the right approach.  

Lables are more than just &quot;pedantic semantic&quot; coding - they serve to improve the dreaded form filling experience by ensuring the  correct default tab-index behavior.  More importantly they actually increase the size of target for several form elements (to get onfocus) on the form element you click the label text...  

I do love that little countdown thingy alice... 

I think there are all sorts of things we could do for some shiny ajaxian form validation....  - will discuss when we next go for wagamamas!</description>
