Lazy Weekend
Not much got done on the crafting front yesterday as we had to pop out for a family tea and cake for not one but two birthdays, held together at least. I unashamedly had about 3 pieces of cake - two sponge and one chocolate - but I don’t really care at the moment ;-) Then when we got home we pottered around, found out that Cambridge lost the boat race - poot, and then spent around 4 hours tidying up our bedroom - for the first time - ever… There is alot more floor space than we recalled - but just as well as there will be a moses basket and nursing chair filling up the space before we know it (I hope).Today the only thing crafty that got done was that we went to Hobby craft where I stocked up on useful things like rotary cutters and patchwork rulers and embroidery hoops. I’m not taking any chances with this kid being late and me going nuts. I also got a couple more crochet hooks - you can never have too many. Jon’s project of the built in bookcase is nearing completion as his mum and step-dad popped over so his step-dad could deal with the architrave that will go around the edge. Hopefully I will get around to dealing with the hems on the last of the 6 “minor” runners this evening and then… well I have a list… its little but there is a lot on it ;-)
