The Coriandr Express – Next Stop, Blue Fish Handmade

We are now four days into the Coriandr Express journey and yesterday it was the turn of Izabela of Blue Fish Handmade to start her three days in the plushy chair of promotion!

Izabela was introduced to knitting and crochet by her grandmother at the tender age of 6 and hasn’t looked back since. Her work is very much influenced by historical styles and many people have noted the Steam Punk style of her pieces.

My personal favourite are these earrings

With so many lovely items in her shop it is hard to decided what should be a gift and what you just have to keep for your self!

The Coriandr Express Leaves the station – Dig The Earth

A new and exciting co-operative promotional project is now underway as the Coriandr Express (a co-operative group of 20 sellers on Coriandr with the remit of promoting one of them as a VIP member for 3 days) began yesterday.

The first member in the plushy seat is Kevin of Dig The Earth.

Based in Yorkshire, he produces fantastic, vibrant handmade cards.

In terms of impact and money these don’t cost the earth; all cards are printed locally on 100% recycled card, and come with 100% recycled envelopes inside biodegradable corn starch ‘cello’ bags.

Kevin’s art work is stunning, with strong art deco and 1960′s influences. The custom birthday cards are easily my favourite, with their unique Liechtenstein-esque design.
