Amelia has been fidgeting about her shoes in the last week so this morning we trekked out to the outer reaches of Biggleswade to visit Brantano’s and get her feet measured, again. Sure enough her feet have grown and I found a pair of non offensive (read non Disney, sans blinky lights) shoes for Ł5. Given how fast her feet grow there is little point in spending close to Ł30 pounds on Clarks shoes at this stage, especially since I even baulk at paying half that amount for shoes for myself.
Later when we got home she either saw or heard a violin which led to her asking for “More!” and her mimed action of playing a violin which looks a bit rude.

Amelia
Unfortunately due to the recent hissy fit by the local Volcano gods my mum was unable to make it over so the purchase of a little violin has had to be postponed.
Oh, and the size of the shoes purchased – size 7 – which according to at least one age/size chart is roughly the size worn by a 4 year old, and as regulars will know Amelia has only just turned 2. Sasquatch Child!
She looks so grown up!
she looks so cute playing that violin!
Hugh is now size 8, but he is a boy (and older). I’m deeply impressed by the violin-playing.
Yes, and his father is quite tall – as far as we know the donor was about the same height as Jon: 5’9″. It could, however, be the tall genes on my dad’s side coming through
There are tall genes on my side too – I just don’t exhibit any of them.
