2 weeks ago my friend Vicki blogged about it being ten years on since the milestone of turning 18, the happenings in the intervening years and the long two year march to 30; this served to bring to mind the fact that for me it would be 10 years on from the turning 21 milestone.

And here I am, 10 years since 21 and what a full decade it has been!

To be fair we still are not embracing tinfoil as a material for sartorial elegance and the hover cars are still no where to be seen. But less than two months after turning 21 I met the man I’d marry just 25 months later, and based on the birthday gift this morning I’ll be remaining that way for the foreseeable future ;-)

I’ve a nice home, a wonderful family and an increasingly cute daughter and with the release of the expanded sound tracks for the Wrath of Khan and the Search for Spock I can’t think of anything I really want now beyond an end to world dickery.

All being said, turning 31 isn’t a huge deal, after I haven’t changed age brackets for surveys yet…
