Last week I introduced Amelia to the game Concentration which we were playing on the Lego website. However, Jon and I have decided to introduce and enforce a no iPhone/iPad usage routine for now (and are also limiting TV/Wii access until after 4pm) so while routing through my endless array of craft materials I decided I’d make Amelia a set of a cards for off line play.
What you need:
- Paper cutting implement of choice
- Heavy Cardstock
- unless you can find some Dutch Ivory Board in the ‘smalls’ size which one of our local news agents has stuck away in a corner.
- Card making/scrap book motifs. I picked up some today in HobbyCraft in the sale that are self adhesive
- Glue
What I did:
- I have a corner rounder cutting thingie so I rounded the corners on the cards (16) – they are about the size of playing cards.
- I then stuck a motif in the middle of each card so that I had two cards with the same motif on them.
- I had a cup of tea, because that’s it!

These would make great little gifts/favours with motifs chosen in a specific theme if you like, and tied with a bow to keep them together.
