Today was a milestone for us. Not going out sans buggy, we’ve been doing that for a few weeks now, aided by the trusty shopper purchased in Ikea, as the buggy was so handy for toting home groceries. Not even going on the train, as we did that about four weeks ago (with buggy) But we went, on the train, without the buggy, again to Stevenage but this time with the very daring undertaking of going to the cinema; just me and Amelia.
We ended up making better time walking to the station than I had anticipated and as a result got to Stevenage and purchased our cinema tickets with nearly an hour to kill, so I made the executive decision that a quick bite at McDonalds wouldn’t kill us. I have to say that the decor is much nicer than I remember. Amelia was very well behaved and didn’t run around like a mad thing while we waited for our order or made our way to a table. The two week phase of maddening Twoness a few weeks back is now a fading memory.
We then went to see Tangled which I hugely enjoyed, the trailer to Rango also looked good. The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw didn’t like Tangled at all, I can only presume he saw the trailer to Yogi Bear and mistakenly wrote about that (I won’t be going to see Yogi Bear).
