Table Runners - day 2
Friday, March 28th, 2008Yesterday I managed to get 6 of the 7 table runners cut and the pointy bits hemmed and I’m now sewing the hems on the longer edges. Then its just a case of sewing some bead clusters to the points to give some weight (they are made out of lining fabric so needs a bit of something to keep them in place).
Once that’s done its just the big runner for the top table and the head-dress to do.
Our new washing machine arrived this morning - bottom of the range Miele. Its very very nice and very very quiet - Jon loves it.
Last night he popped the lid on the old busted Hotpoint and discovered just exactly had gone wrong with it - this consisted of rust and metal fatigue and a general internal collapse! No wonder if was making so much of a racket.
